PROJECT ARCHITECT

Hall + Bednarczyk Architects is a multiple RIBA award winning practice based in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, located close to Bristol and Cardiff. A varied portfolio of projects spans high quality one-off houses and bespoke commercial and public works up to £4m. Much of the practice’s work adopts advanced methods of construction to create ambitious buildings placed into pristine landscape settings. Current projects are located in Wales, South West England and The Cotswolds.

We have an immediate full-time opportunity for a project architect to join the small team that makes up our ambitious architectural practice. The candidate should either be ARB registered or able to demonstrate comparable experience.

The successful candidate will have job-running experience in a high quality architectural practice, preferably with experience of one-off residential projects. There will be the opportunity to work on projects at all stages of their design evolution from client’s brief to on-site construction, and you will be encouraged to contribute to an inclusive practice culture. We are looking for creative flair backed up by a deep interest in the act of building.

Candidates should have excellent verbal, written and drawn communication skills. Fluent English is essential.

The practice uses ArchiCAD modelling software for 2D/3D draughting, so prior experience of BIM will be highly advantageous. Fluency in Sketchup and Photoshop are essential. A full, clean driving licence is important due to the location of our projects which are frequently not served by public transport.

Upon the practice’s return to normal working patterns, following the current restrictions in place due to Covid-19, it is our intention to adapt flexible working arrangements. We will offer a salary and career progression that reflect the abilities of a talented candidate.
