With great sadness, we pay our love and respect to Kelly Bednarczyk, who died at the end of 2022. Kelly co-founded Hall + Bednarczyk Architects with Martin Hall in 2005, and was instrumental in establishing the practice’s attention to detail and emphasis on thoughtful, well executed projects. She inspired these values in the team that has grown around the two original founders.

Kelly leaves a remarkable legacy in the buildings she designed and the many lives she influenced so positively through her work, leadership and collaborative design approach. Her professional achievements are all the more remarkable for having confronted Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at the age of 35, while also raising two young children with Martin. She will be greatly missed by the practice and the many friends and colleagues she inspired in her life.
